Delicious indulgence with local regional products

The Dender region and the Pajottenland are two regions in Flanders with a rich culinary heritage.
There is a strong tradition of artisanal products made with local milk and dairy, but of course, the local beers and distilled spirits are also very much present.
Be sure to taste our delicious “Mattentaarten” from Geraardsbergen, now a European protected regional product and arguably the most famous regional pastry in Flanders.
Small hunger or big thirst? Enjoy a piece of raw-milk sheep or goat cheese and wash it down with a locally brewed Tripel, Geuze, or Kriek beer.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will certainly enjoy the local Pajottenland syrups and jams. By the way, they are delicious with a black or white pudding (sausage) from the local farm butcher.
Boost your vitamin levels and buy strawberries, apples, pears, and other delicious fruit directly from the fruit grower. They are scrumptious and come fresh from the field.

Boredom is out of the question here, but simple luxury through relaxation and peace is an absolute must !
